James Dondero’s Altruistic Giving
Jame Dondero is an investment manager who has a heart of gold giving for good courses to support education, animal conservation, nurturing of talents and abilities in kids and more on uplifting the society’s setup. He is the President and co-founder of Highland Capital Management which is a financial and investment firm. Locally, James Dondero has helped the Santa Barbara community through Highland Santa Barbara Foundation.
In 2011 for instance, the foundation gave $1.5 million to 27 organizations to give the Santa Barbara residents’ empowerment through education, youth development and entrepreneurial activities and more in supporting legends along with their projects. Community upgrading is through Kansas City Foundation and Dallas Foundation who also merit recognition. The reward for these acts of philanthropy is a positive change and a better society.
James Dondero also believes some communal challenges can be overcome through education and has made all efforts to support education more so to brilliant students from underprivileged backgrounds. Capital for Kids which Dondero is a party assist children in Dallas go through education programs. Investment experts run it and motivated by the desire to raise a generation of apt leaders. He also supports the George Bush Presidential Library and Institute where youth are enlightened on a day to day challenges and grow a breed of good future leaders.

James Dondero is the President, Chief Financial and Marketing Analyst of Highland Capital Management LP. This company was founded in 1993 as an alternative investment firm and manager. He is also the chairman of executive committees in Nexbank Capital, Jernigan Capital, MGM Holdings, Cornerstone Healthcare Group and the University of Southern Methodist.
