Crystal Hunt: Talented Actress and Producer
Crystal Hunt is an Emmy-nominated actress whose breakout role as Lizzie Spaulding on the popular CBS daytime drama Guiding Light came when she was only 17 years old. Born on February 5, 1985, and originally from Clearwater, Florida, Crystal was drawn to the entertainment industry from a young age. She participated in beauty pageants as a child, then moved up to commercials and public service announcements. In 2003, she landed her first major role on Guiding Light, which she continued for the next three years. Her performance on Guiding Light earned her an Emmy nomination and a Soap Opera Digest award nomination in 2005.
After gaining television acting experience, Crystal broadened her career by delving into film. She starred alongside Zac Efron in 2005’s The Derby Stallion and with Amanda Bynes in 2007’s Sydney White. However, she returned to daytime television when she joined the cast of ABC’s One Life to Live as the villainous Stacy Morasco in 2009. She remained a regular on the show until 2010, although she did return several times in the following years for cameos and flashback sequences.
Though she continued working on film projects after leaving One Life to Live, Crystal’s biggest silver screen exposure came in 2015 with the release of Magic Mike XXL, the sequel to the wildly popular 2012 film Magic Mike. Crystal joined an all-star cast including Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Elizabeth Banks.
Crystal’s most recent projects include the scripted reality series Queens of Drama, which follows Crystal and other former daytime soap opera actresses who decide to create their own film company and produce a drama series for television. Crystal has also begun working behind the camera rather than in front of it with her debut as an executive producer for the horror film Talbot County, which is currently in post-production.
